Greenwich Village… a scary place to be this month.
Billed as the most outrageous Halloween event in the world, the Village Halloween Parade has to be one of New York’s most lively and colourful parties.
The event attracts more than 50,000 scarily-clad participants every year. Towering papier-mâché puppets are a regular feature, as are bands, dancers, stilt-walkers, jugglers, breakdancers and a whole lot of other fiends and freaks.
The ghoulish event takes place in Greenwich Village along 6th Ave from Spring St to 22nd St. Each year there’s a different theme dictating the style of dress.
Parade participants let their imaginations run wild to create the most outrageous and eccentric costumes that they can possibly dream up.
This year, why not join the crowd of over two million onlookers and have a weird and whacky time? Check out http://www.halloween-nyc.com/index.php
