It features all the top news clips from 1910 to 1970, as shown on the Pathe News slots at cinemas across Britain.

Select and order your favourite film clip (it’s free for personal viewing) and after a few minutes form filling you can be the proud recipient of a download showing the last footage of the Titanic as she starts her fateful voyage (curiously the site’s most popular download).

There’s plenty more to choose from, though. British lottery funding has helped pay for the entire Pathe collection to be transferred to digital format.
