When is a fridge not a fridge? When it’s a work of art, of course.
UAEasy.com’s online editor Aidan Goldstraw was relaxing at his home in the UK recently when he heard a grating noise coming from outside.
It turned out to be one of the locals dumping an unwanted fridge-freezer on a lonely Stoke-on-Trent street corner.
But Aidan didn’t get mad, he got creative - and in the morning stepped out and fixed a faux Tate Gallery sign on the domestic appliance, reinventing it as “Urban Monolith #32 by Baz Lechavier”.
The potential for vastly increased value (think Damien Hurst) must have impressed itself on the neighbourhood chavs. The following morning it had mysteriously disappeared.
More details of this jolly jape on Aidan’s blog, The Bottom Line, here.
