Face: the facts

Taking care of your face can be a bit like servicing your car - you can do the basics yourself, but you also need a professional to get to the heart of the matter. A good therapist will analyse your problems, correct them and give you advice about the right products to take home with you.

How often?

A normal skin will benefit from a regular facial to keep it in tip-top condition. We recommend you book your salon treat once every four to six weeks. Apart from making you feel pampered and cared for, a regular facial will draw out the deep impurities and get your skin functioning as it should.

Skin that’s had regular care will not suffer from the cumulative build up of free radical damage, and is less likely to suffer from pigmentation problems and signs of aging.

For problem skins, it’s a good idea to have a weekly facial until things start to improve.

A good facial should always leave your skin looking and feeling better. If you haven’t had a facial for a while, you may see signs of congestion coming to the surface, but once you start a regular regime this won’t happen. Choose a therapist with plenty of experience and that way you’ll minimise the risk of being given treatments or products that are unsuitable for your skin.
